Tork Motors Launches ROR X & X+
Tork Motors has unveiled the ROR X and ROR X+, two electric motorcycles offering three battery options:
- 2kWh (140 km IDC range)
- 3.5kWh
- 4.5kWh
The pricing begins at ₹75,000 for the base model and goes up to ₹95,000 for the top variant. With a peak power output of 7kW, the ROR X achieves 0-40 km/h acceleration in just 3.1 seconds and boasts a top speed of 118 km/h.
Ola Roadster X+ Introduced
Ola has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the Roadster X+, available in two battery configurations:
- 4.5kWh (252 km IDC range)
- 9.1kWh (501 km IDC range)
The base model is priced at ₹1,20,000, while the top-end version costs ₹1,55,000. It features an 11kW motor, a top speed of 125 km/h, and a 0-40 km/h acceleration time of just 2.7 seconds.
Ola’s New Strategy: Monthly Product Launches

The Kerala government has introduced a revised road tax structure for EVs:
- Vehicles below ₹15 lakh: 5% tax
- Vehicles between ₹15-20 lakh: 8% tax
- Vehicles above ₹20 lakh: 10% tax
- Battery rental EVs: 10% tax
This move is expected to generate an additional ₹30 crore in revenue for the state.
Ford’s Shift to Range-Extended EVs (Hybrid EVs)
Following a 9% decline in EV sales, Ford is shifting focus to range-extended hybrid EVs. These vehicles will be more affordable than full-electric models and feature a dual-charging system, allowing charging via both fuel engine and plug-in charging.
