Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car in India, the eVX, has been partially revealed in showrooms. The EV is expected to come with two battery pack options—49 kWh and 61 kWh—offering a range of up to 500 km. The price is estimated to be between ₹17-25 lakh.

4th Position: Toyota Urban Cruiser EV

A rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki eVX, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will share similar specifications but will be priced slightly higher at ₹19-20 lakh, likely due to Toyota’s brand positioning. Its launch is expected in the second half of 2025, possibly during the festive season.

3rd Position: MG Cyberster

MG is set to introduce the Cyberster, a high-performance sports EV with a convertible roof. Key features include a 77 kWh battery, a 500 km range, and an impressive 0-100 kmph acceleration in just 3.2 seconds. The expected price range is ₹60-70 lakh.

MG M9 – Luxury 7-Seater MPV

MG will also bring the M9, a luxury electric MPV designed to compete with the Toyota Vellfire. It will come with a 90 kWh battery but offer a relatively modest 150 km range. The pricing is expected to be around ₹80-90 lakh.

2nd Position: Mahindra XUV 7e

Mahindra is set to electrify its popular XUV700 with the XUV 7e, built on the INGLO platform. Expected battery options include 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The launch is expected in Q3/Q4 2025. This model will feature Level 2 ADAS and triple screens, making it a tech-savvy choice.

1st Position: Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Harrier EV, built on the Acti.EV platform. The SUV will feature an all-wheel drive system, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and a premium JBL sound system. The estimated range is 500 km, and the price is expected to be around ₹30 lakh. Notably, it will support vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-load charging. Its launch is expected within the next two months, making it one of the most anticipated EVs in India.

Maruti Suzuki eVX vs Toyota Urban Cruiser EV

Both vehicles share identical specifications, but the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV is positioned at a higher price due to brand value. Toyota’s launch will also be later, around the festive season of 2025.

MG Select Dealerships

To cater to its high-end EVs like the Cyberster and M9, MG plans to introduce premium dealerships that will offer an exclusive buying experience.

Upcoming Mahindra EVs

Mahindra is also working on additional EVs, including the XUV 9e, which will likely feature Level 2 ADAS, triple screens, and an impressive driving range. More specifications are expected to be revealed soon.
