OLA Unveils Roadster: Its First Electric Bike

OLA has introduced its first-ever electric motorcycle, the Roadster, available in two variants: RX and RX+.
Design & Features:
The Roadster boasts a distinctive design featuring an LED lighting setup and a color LCD instrument panel. It utilizes a chain drive system, similar to OLA’s electric scooters.
Battery & Variants:
- RX Model: Offers three battery options – 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh.
- RX+ Model: Comes standard with a 4.5 kWh battery, while the top-end variant is equipped with a 9.1 kWh battery pack featuring 4680 cells.
Motor & Performance:
- RX Models: Powered by a 7 kW motor.
- RX+ Models: Feature an 11 kW motor for enhanced performance.
- Top Speed:
- 105 km/h (2.5 kWh pack)
- 118 km/h (3.5 kWh & 4.5 kWh packs)
- 125 km/h (11 kW motor variant)
- Range: The top-end 9.1 kWh variant claims a range of up to 501 km in eco mode.
Technology & Charging:
- Advanced Systems: Equipped with ride-by-wire and brake-by-wire technology, utilizing sensors for braking and regenerative charging.
- Charging Options:
- 350W charger for the 2.5 kWh pack.
- 750W charger for 3.5 kWh & 4.5 kWh packs.
- Charging details for the 9.1 kWh pack are yet to be disclosed.
Pricing & Availability:
- RX Models: Priced between ₹74,999 (2.5 kWh) and ₹94,999 (4.5 kWh).
- RX+ Models: Start at ₹1,09,999 (4.5 kWh), with the top-end 9.1 kWh variant priced at ₹1,54,999.
- Delivery Timeline:
