Ola Electric has increased the prices of its newly launched S1 Pro Generation 3 electric scooter just days after its debut. This unexpected hike has left potential buyers wondering if the scooter still offers good value for money. New Pricing
The Ola S1 Pro Gen 3 now comes with increased prices for both battery variants:
- 3 kWh battery pack: ₹1,30,000 (previously ₹1,25,000)
- 4 kWh battery pack: ₹1,45,000 (previously ₹1,40,000)
Battery Range and Performance
Despite the price increase, the scooter still retains its impressive battery range and speed:
- 3 kWh battery pack: 179 km range, Top Speed: 117 km/h
- 4 kWh battery pack: 242 km range, Top Speed: 125 km/h
Design and Motor Updates
While the overall design remains similar to its predecessor, Ola has introduced a chain-drive system instead of the belt drive used in the previous generation. This may affect maintenance costs and overall riding experience.
The motor remains 11 kW but now includes an integrated MCU (Motor Control Unit), making it slightly different from the previous version.
Warranty Changes: Free vs. Paid Options
One of the most controversial updates is Ola’s decision to discontinue the free 8-year battery warranty that was offered earlier. Instead, buyers now receive a standard 3-year/40,000 km warranty for free and must pay for extended coverage.

- 5 years / 60,000 km: ₹3,999 + GST
- 8 years / 80,000 km: ₹6,999 + GST
- 8 years / 1,00,000 km: ₹10,499 + GST
- 8 years / 1,25,000 km: ₹14,999 + GST
OLA justifies this move by aligning with other EV manufacturers who charge for extended warranties.
