Diljit Dosanjh to Quit Performing in India? Singer Deletes Post on ‘Better Infrastructure’ After Facing Backlash

Popular Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh appeared to step back on Tuesday after stating he would not perform in India until there was “proper infrastructure” for live concerts. He shared a clarification on social media but deleted the post shortly after. This comes a day after Dosanjh criticized online trolls, calling them “idle naysayers” who constantly find fault.

Earlier this month, Dosanjh sparked controversy when videos surfaced of him voicing frustration over the “poor concert infrastructure in India.” He stated he would refrain from performing in the country until improvements were made.

“We lack proper infrastructure for live shows here. This industry generates significant revenue and provides work for many people. I’ll aim to have a central stage setup next time so everyone can enjoy it equally. Until this happens, I won’t perform in India, that’s certain,” he was quoted as saying during a recent show in Chandigarh.
