Accenture’s headcount increased by 24,000 in Q1 FY25, marking the third consecutive quarter of growth.

Accenture Plc, a leading information technology company, reported a sequential increase in its headcount for the third consecutive quarter in Q4 FY24.

On December 19, the company announced an addition of 24,697 employees in Q1 FY25, bringing its total workforce to 7,99,000. Accenture operates on a September-August financial year.

The firm has also expanded its data and artificial intelligence (AI) workforce to approximately 69,000, moving closer to its target of 80,000 by the end of fiscal year 2026.

The steady hiring suggests improved demand compared to previous quarters, with a similar number of employees added in the last quarter.

With a significant portion of Accenture’s workforce based in India, its performance often serves as a bellwether for the Indian IT sector, which employs over five million professionals.
